I would like to be able to use just the TI2021 iso to make and restore an image. How ever TI2020 can verify that exact same image (and has been able to restore images) Results (consistent with all past tries), TI2021 will make an image and verify it as part of creating a backup, but then TI2021 can not verify the image as part of the recovery process. I am only using the iso booted on a usb stick to images 1 SATA drive with the initial setup that Windows 11 put’s on it. I have attempted to minimized the variables and do a clean retest with all the details. I do not have a shared account but google snyder's site stuff, my site has a link, link to “AcronisSystemReport20220212”, to the resulting report from the following test. I looked at the kb articles and bootable image limitations and do not see that I am outside of the limits.
I am looking for some thoughts on what might be going on and how to proceed. Not being able to restore with the latest version of TI is concerning TI and this method has always made me feel I was on solid ground and could get back to any one of my install points if I want tochange or correct what I did or need to recover. I have tried different destinations for the image, local disk other SSD USBs, hard disk USBs, different formatted USBs but the result seems the same. I looked at the system report but It's a bit over my head. TI2020 can also verify and restore the image made by TI2021 on the new computer. However on the older computer TI2020 with verify the images and restore on a second disk, and W11 works when the disk is installed in the new computer. I removed the disk and placed it in a usb adaptor, on a older computer (W10, set up with TI2019, but also works with TI2020 ) and booted with TI2021 get a crash result when verifying.
Then it was time to make my first image, I Booted to TI2021 and make a backup image to a NTFS SSD usb stick, Full backup, Max compression, split to 4.7gb, verify image, which completes successfully.īut then when I go to verify or verify and restore, or restore without verify TI2021 crashes at the verify startup. Then I installed Windows 11 to the SSD (minimal configuration) and that runs and looks good. Which will boot and run ubutnu off a usb (trial setup no disk install), so the computer is looking good. Which boots to TI2021 on the new minimal system Asus maximus Z690 Extreme with i9 12900K and one SanDisk 120Gb drive (old corded mouse and keyboard to get to bios). Used Rufus 3.17 GPT Uefi NTFS (also tried fat32) to make bootable image Now I am using Acronis True Image 2021 39216 Bootable ISO (also tried Acronis TI 2021 Build 39287 with same results)
I load a bit of the software test it, go back do it again once I know what I want, then TI, Load a bit more test, reload, install what's good TI. Once I figured out which key to get to bios and what bios settings to boot TI has worked great. to get new computers setup without all the bloat and processes with tentacles. I have been using True Image for years TI2020, TI2019, TI2017, TI2014.
